We can all accept that the Internet is one of the best things that happened to us humans and not only that it has helped us in terms of communication and globalization, it has brought everybody together. Speaking about bringing us together it is easy to get carried away on the Internet because you can’t see or view closely another person's achievement and places like Facebook or Instagram. Some people mainly post their lifestyle on these platforms and for the consumers, it’s created standard. Everybody wants a good life for themselves and if you see somebody living a dream you might also want that kind of lifestyle or that type of standard.
One thing we have all to realize is that nobody really post their failures on social media, especially for those that are trying to impress their audience. They don’t post their failure and they always talk about their achievement which create an illusion for young people. I have a friend that normally consume marriage content on Internet and it is always about failed marriages, I realize that my friends began to believe that it is impossible for marriage to work and that is how the Internet can shift your mind into believing things without you knowing.
We fail to live in our own reality
The Internet has done so much damage to many young people and we are not living in a society where a 21 years old boy wants to have it all and it is not their fault is the kind of content they are consuming on the Internet just because you have some of your mate that I’m making it at young age doesn’t mean it will happen to you too. Sometimes you have to build before you get to some level, but the Internet has changed the way they think and the way they approach life even when they get the funds to build their life they spend it on the things that they don’t need.
The value of building wealth has reduced drastically, and people don’t even know the power compounding anymore just because of the Internet, they want to have it all at once and this kind of orientation will not only make you feel less happy but also make you prone to making bad decisions especially bad financial decisions. Some of these young people before they understand that what they are doing is wrong it might be too late already.
Getting it right is crucial
People must be orientated about the Internet and they must know that not everything you see on the Internet that you must applies to your life and not everything you see that you must believe. It’s just an illusion and for us to create wealth we must incorporate building because no amount of money we make in life if you can build, it might be so long before you become rich, nothing is impossible. It is easy for people to become rich now even at a young age because the Internet makes it possible to have access to vast opportunitiesbut we must incorporate building so that we cannot only build wealth but also a generational world that will last a lifetime. When we are trying to copy what we see online or trying to live a lifestyle that we have not yet attained, it makes our journey long or makes it impossible for us to build wealth or even to make good for ourselves.
