One of the most difficult things is starting a business in Nigeria because apart from the fact that there is no stable electricity to help you function well, people will make life difficult for you and that is why it is very important to have a working plan when you to start up a business in Nigeria. Most people start up businesses without a plan, just because people are successful in particular businesses doesn’t mean if you try it you not going to fail.
Nigerians love competition and immediately you are doing something that is fetching money many people will want to do. That’s nothing bad in it but in the process of trying to copy another man’s idea, we tend to forget one of the key components of starting up a business which is having a proper plan. That’s why people are not organized I have a friend who was trying to set up a business and most of the things he got are not important he did not buy the important ones and he has no money left.
Apart from the challenges that come with starting up a business in developing countries or countries that are not properly managed, you must have done your assessments well on how to stand out among the crowd. sometimes when we make plans it makes it look as if we have been in the business for a long and customers will be able to trust us with work. The proper plan makes us competitive immediately starting up a business.
Stick with the plan.
Having a business plan is different from sticking with it because money has different influences us and immediately we have the money we want to use for business with us our plan will change. Sometimes plans change because the money is not enough so you have to balance things differently and this changes the plans of business-minded people.
Some people change their plans and let their emotions get the best of them, money controls this set of people, and their plan changes because of emotions, and end up doing most of the things they don’t need. Some people change their business plan because of what they heard from people, this might be right or wrong but you have to be careful.
A business plan helps us to prepare better for what is coming and it will be bad for us not to have no business plans at all, changing our plans at the last minute because money, emotions, and people don’t always end well. Having a proper business plan is a great thing.
