In the grand scheme of things the amount of CO2 which humans contribute to the atmosphere is very marginal. At some points in the earth's history, CO2 was as high as 30 percent. During the age of the dinosaurs, CO2 levels were about 0.28 percent. According to this video, the current percentage of CO2, in general, is .04 percent and the human component of this is 3 percent of .04 percent: 0.0012 percent.

Estimates place the amount of carbon dioxide in the earth's atmosphere at seven times the levels prior to the industrial revolution, or around 1780. Pre-industrial levels were approximately 280 ppm, according to the EPA. That would make the Jurassic Period levels of carbon dioxide around 1,900 ppm.

In previous posts, I had talked about sea-level change.

According to this trend line, the sea is rising (based on data going back roughly 130 years) at .65mm/yr. This translates to 0.025 inches per year. In other words, it will take 50 years for the average water to rise one inch. This doesn't mean that there is nothing to be concerned about because it isn't the average that one needs to worry about ... it is the surge. The question that should be asked is why since the ice is melting more ... why isn't the rise in water more dramatic? I personally suspect it has to do with the centrifugal force causing it to "pile" up at the equator. There is a certain level of concern over the long run about this. Precession has a 25,800-year cycle. It relates to the axial tilt of the earth and its wobble. If some event changes the rotation of the earth or there is an abrupt change to the axial tilt, the centrifugal forces might be affected.
An example of something that can change the rotation of the earth was the Japan earthquake in 2011.

... by changing the distribution of Earth's mass, the Japanese earthquake should have caused Earth to rotate a bit faster, shortening the length of the day by about 1.8 microseconds (a microsecond is one millionth of a second).
The calculations also show the Japan quake should have shifted the position of Earth's figure axis (the axis about which Earth's mass is balanced) by about 17 centimeters (6.5 inches), towards 133 degrees east longitude. Earth's figure axis should not be confused with its north-south axis; they are offset by about 10 meters (about 33 feet). This shift in Earth's figure axis will cause Earth to wobble a bit differently as it rotates, but it will not cause a shift of Earth's axis in space—only external forces such as the gravitational attraction of the sun, moon and planets can do that.

I am not saying that climate change isn't happening and there are positives that can be gained in reducing emissions ... more knowledge is usually good. It is a mistake though to drive your society on the words of any body of people ... even if they are the majority. For example doctors used to recommend margarine, "scientists" said that tobacco smoke doesn't cause cancer and the world once believed the sun revolved around the earth.
