The hero of the popular game and one of Nintendo's talisman will once again conquer the screens. Last year, rumors came about this, but it's already official: the working on an animated movie about Super Mario starts!
Illumination Entertainment, the studio that has created favorite animations such as "Despicable Me" "Sing!" And "The Secret life of Pets", will take care of the future hit. No wonder if in the new film appear the little yellow beggars - yes, you guessed, we mean the Minions. Another interesting detail is that Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario, will be a co-producer of the film, along with the founder of Illumination Chris Meledandri.
Other details about the production are not mentioned at this stage. Nintendo, however, hopes the new film will avoid the fate of the "Super Mario Bros." feature, featuring Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo in the roles of Mario and Luigi, which has become one of the failures of 1993.
Mario games enjoy unprecedented popularity, and the latest Super Mario Odyssey ranks after the best-selling last year. If Miyamoto is able to recreate this magic on the big screen, we are convinced that we are expecting the best video game adaptation so far.
