Definitely more satisfying than Maze Runner: Scorch Trials, the third and final of the franchise film is a supercharged race, flying speedily between three groups of heroes - the lakers, the rebels' faction and the big villain - the WCKD corporation.
The action in this movie is pleasant. It starts with a classic 10-minute train chase scene. The film relies on adrenaline stunts, demonstrating good product design and fair effects for a not too big budget of about $ 80 million.
The story is for the assault of the promised city of WCKD, the only survivor after the mass pandemic with the deadly zombie virus, after which almost all mankind has died. In the city, as a huge monument in the cult of science, the glass building of the pharmaceutical corporation WCKD rises. Our main characters, Thomas (Dylan O'Brien), Newt (Thomas Brody-Sangster), and company head to the City for the sole purpose of saving their comrade Minh-ho.
In Maze Runner: The Death Cure, the provocative message, which could be treated as a biological-ecological-political issue, was crushed under tons of sheet metal, sand and naive sentiment, and was sent to the hell like a zombie battered with a bat. To the viewer was given an interesting story - an apocalyptic story about the annihilation of mankind and the conflicts between the various surviving factions. Still, the focus of the film is the simple story of whether the boy, the Only One, will save the world and whether he will come together with his love interest.
Maze Runner: The Death Cure is certainly a mediocre movie, but there are also pleasant moments in it, which emit some hope, energy and a drive for life. Another plus is that it is shot in Cape Town, South Africa, and has beautiful green shots standing out in the wilderness of desert, which steals the breath.
