I took a trip to the middle of nowhere this past weekend and spent some time documenting some ghost towns in the Mojave Desert. I spent the night in Barstow and then continued to Route 66 the following day. Yes it is very hot in the Mojave this time of year, but I'm fairly used to high temperatures and prefer dry climates over humid ones. If long drives are your idea of fun then this should be right up your alley.
