In my opinion, all Hive front-ends are like the fingers of the same hand.
I use Peadk and Ecency daily (and very rarely Actifit).
I publish a quality, author's post through Peakd, I get a vote from Ecency and OCD. I publish through Ecency, I get votes from OCD and Ecency.
Sometimes they differ by %, but I don't think about it.

Just today, before I saw this post, I posted on the Ecency front end in the ECD community, because I didn't find an adequate community (among those in which I move), to post there.

I use Peakd when I want to add more photos to a post that I can pack into the gallery, as well as most often for reading posts and commenting, while I use Ecency for posts and (in my opinion) easier addition of photos in a certain part of the text or video via 3speak.
When I want to insert a video in Peakd, I have to upload it to youtube first...

As for the upgrades, I don't like that Ecency limited the number of entered photos (in one upload) to 5.
While Peakd is easier for me to pin a location for a Travel post in worldmappin...
So, nothing is black/white.
