Pakistan played very well and won the match by six wickets. Sri Lanka scored 128 runs and set a target of 129 for Pakistan. Pakistan chased the target easily and won the match. With this win, Pakistan now lead the series 1–0. # Sri Lanka’s Innings Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl first. Sri Lanka did not start well, as their top-order batsmen got out early. Janith Liyanage was the only player who fought back against the Pakistani bowlers. Sri Lanka were all out for 128 runs in 19.2 overs. Janith Liyanage was the highest scorer for Sri Lanka, making 40 runs from 31 balls. Pakistan’s bowlers did a great job. Salman Mirza and Abrar Ahmed took three wickets each. Shadab Khan also bowled well and took two wickets in his comeback match. # Pakistan’s Run Chase Pakistan started their chase strongly and scored 59 runs in the power play. Sahibzada Farhan played an important innings and scored his eighth T20 fifty. He made 51 runs from 36 balls. Pakistan lost a few wickets in the middle overs, but they still reached the target comfortably in 16.4 overs. # Player of the Match Player of the match was Shadab Khan. He bowled well and took two wickets and also played the innings of 18 Runs (Not Out) in his come back match. This win gives Pakistan good confidence, but their batting still needs some improvement.
