This opinion piece is part of my unfolding analysis on libertarian philosophy, American politics and my reasonable skepticism. The first segment contextualizes the recent headlines on the border. Second segment outlines several uncomfortable questions.

While it is politically convenient to blame one administration for their apparent failings it does not help to contextualize the overall shifting trends in migration, cultural norms and political frameworks. The previous Trump administration seemingly laid a hard stance on illegal immigration. However, the construction of the wall was a lackluster event which created an opportunity for die-hard anti-Trump talking heads to deride & mock the president. At the same time, Trump's political deals, harsh anti illegal immigration stance alongside with his populous support created a temporary bulwark against demographic surges at the Southern border.
In the highly contentious presidential election Joe Biden announced his open-border policy during a Democratic party debate. As Biden took office it reignited the DACA dream, and gave relief to many concerned migrants living in the United States. Consequently, this created a political atmosphere which gave impetus to those seeking a streamlined entry into the United States. Inevitably this political discourse created a crisis at the Southern border prompting Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar to say, "... influx of migrants still overwhelming border facilities."
...migrants have been released into the U.S. without a notice to appear at an immigration court.
"They're supposed to appear, show up, maybe in 60 days, report to an ICE office," he said. "This is unprecedented." --CBSNews 3/28/21
For several months overwhelmed detention centers continue to devolved into a humanitarian crisis causing some BP officials to blow the whistle on the negative impact Biden's policy has on the Border Patrol's workforce.
Further compounding this crisis was President Joe Biden's decision to halt repatriation of Haitians who've illegally entered into the United States. Videos of thousands of migrants in caravans walking through Mexico and into the US southern border unimpeded surfaced online. Coincidentally "...Biden resumes Haitian repatriations."
The UN Population Division conducted a study which analyzed different scenarios based on the critical issue of declining birth-rates in the West. This study outline several possible scenarios, as well as providing an accounting of how many migrants will be necessary to supplant an ageing/dying Western population. From an abstracted view it makes logical sense to import 3rd world population into a first-world country with declining birth rate. However, an implicit bias present in neo-liberal policies obfuscate the overall beneficiary of this demographic shift. Who does it benefit to import low-skilled, government-dependent and typically compliant populations into An American society that is founded on self-determination & distrust in government?
Meanwhile in the United States, the population decline of white people is seen as a good thing and celebrated as a boon for diversity. Simultaneously, the foundational principles of the American experiment are criticized as obstacles to diversity & security, and relegated to outdated ideas according to the liberal-corporate press. Why would the declining population of a historically freedom oriented and self-reliant culture be celebrated? Who does it benefit?
Are we to believe that millions of new immigrants will not be cajole into enabling more tyranny?.
As the American economy descends into a two tier system in which centralized government decides the winners & losers...we are left with a stark realization. The declining replacement ratio in the West is a serious issue, and simply replacing the domestic population with a more pliable population does not resolve the underlying self-sabotage. For decades, Western populations have been conditioned with fear-based programming, baseless consumerism and dysgenic policies which inevitably led to a gradual phasing out of their domestic demographics.
