They are trending again and my mom said that it was the same 40 years ago! Well, if something doesn't change its design and materials for so long, that really means it is a high-quality product and the customers are happy.
I am very picky about the footwear, I have problems with my back and I always choose healthy and supportive footwear. I hate shoes, I prefer sneakers. Sketchers or Salomon. I walk much, I spend much time outside and none of my sneakers lasted for longer than 8 months.
The biggest problems with me and footwear come in the summer. I can't wear those heavy sneakers all the time, I live 70 meters far from the beach and it would be nice to have some multi-practical footwear for walking with my dog, for laziness around the house and everyday needs.
I experimented a lot with the summer footwear. I tried many different types of flip-flops, sandals, and slides, and I never find a perfect pair. I mentioned that I like Sketchers, it's because of the memory foam... so last summer I tried with the Sketchers slides. They looked amazing, they were really comfortable and light, with that memory foam... And that was the problem! My feet were sweating and the slides started to stink very badly. When the seawater touched them for the first time, I had to say "Bye" to the soft memory foam, it became firm like a wooden plank.
He's a living proof that those slides can endure for longer than 4-5 years. The guy just loves his rubber slides so I had to check could I share that love. Although he is not constantly on the move like I am, spends less time outside than I do, I decided to try.
They are flexible but firm, they are not so soft, but they are comfortable. When I tried them on, it was like I was wearing them for years.
