RE: Blacklist?!?! Is The Steemit Platform Becoming A “Muppet Show?”
What’s happening here is an unfortunate side effect of a completely free society. A few people will assign themselves the roll of moral police. What do we do about it? I don’t know... ignore them? If you

RE: The Coil in a "Magnifier" Vs. Conventional configuration:
That coil is absolutely beautiful. I can only hope to build one so nice someday. Do you have pics of it in action? Maybe a video?

RE: the prohibition of firearms on children
Interesting article, but I didn’t see anything said about educating children about guns. If they are taught what they are, what they are for, and how to properly handle them from a young age, many of these

Agreed. What was it that got petrified, though. Seed? Fruit maybe? This has been my mystery... Thanks for your help :)

RE: What is this rock?
This is another chunk of the opal from Eden Valley, specifically, the Blue Forest. Both this piece and the one in question came from the same area on the same trip. The crystal druzy on the top is calcite.

RE: What is this rock?
I have tried vinegar with no reaction on either the shell or the insides. It does not bubble or fizz like it would on limestone.

Thanks for the reply! Very nice pics, also. I forgot to mention in the post that the outside layer is agate. For a better description of the stuff on the inside, it’s a mass of little balls, and the ones
