Thanks for highlighting this card because I think it is an incredible new legendary. The bloodlust ability makes a huge difference, so it can go toe to toe with Heloise and survive with its additional armor from bloodlust for each kill. I often pair it with Akane to give it ambush, allowing Zyex to inflict big pain and often get a bloodlust trigger before regular attacks in Round 1.

Of course you make a great point with cleanse for the incendiary disability, something I've done with the rear guard cleanse, or by putting it as tank with a taunt monster in the backline. As long as you can clear the disability, Zyrx is primed for a long and powerful battle.
