My guess is that self-diagnosing oneself as ADHD is the leading cause for the uptick in this category. I think it is comical how much this is currently happening in the USA these days. It is easier than ever to find a medical professional to sign off on an ADHD designation. Most people I know do it for the easy prescription to amphetamine stimulants like Adderall or Vyvanse. I know I've taken these kinds of pills in low doses to get me through a long night at the club when I didn't want to take anything harder.

In my anecdotal evidence from swimming around in the dating pool during my open relationships, I would say there is a HUGE uptick in women who consider themselves either bisexual or pansexual.
