I've only been to Switz to ski Europe, but when my family went to Austria they also loved it. I grew up skiing in Vermont (US East Coast) for 30 years but finally made it out to Denver for a few years and CRUSHED a bunch of those Rocky Mountain Resorts. I love alpine skiing!
