It can be both or either one, depending on how you engage with the game. I prefer to think of it as a game, because it is the battle strategy that I enjoy most, followed by card collecting. I personally think that there are many better platforms if one just wants to earn a return. However, for those with the assets who lack the drive to engage in the gaming strategy, I'm sure it can feel very much like a DeFi platform where they are leveraging their owned assets to earn a return.
