Can't agree more. Most of the income for creators will come from respective Tokens through DApps rather than Steem. In fact, starting cost in DApp is lower than Steem(it). For example, 5K LEO has better curation reward compared to 5K LEO equivalent Steem.

However, certain amount of SP will be required based on the activities on DApps.

Most possible demand for Steem can come from DApps themselves. For example, DApp itself can provide SP delegation (i.e. RC) and free Steem account to their users. DApp will have their own incentive to be successful and therefore, will buy/hold millions of SP to support millions of their users. The only missing thing is the killer idea for such DApp.. Right now, @actifit, @steemhunt, @sprinterlands, @palnet, @steemleo, @dlike, @threespeak have good possibility.
