The sudden wind ahift. Change in the temperature. Even if one didn't listen to the news, you would know. The rain cometh. April showers bring May flowers. Isn't it true? Except it is still February. Should I complain? Call me crazy, but, I prefer to just be grateful, enjoying what is before me, unless there are negative connotations that come along with it. Can we pause for a moment today and get our bearings? That smile you are wearing lights up my whole day, so I will pass one on, as we make the world a better place, one person at a time. I want to thank Mother Nature. She always seems to know what I need.
The loveliness of you never escapes me
May I gaze upon you, always and a day?
Will you spread your brightness over me and cover me with joy?
When darker days hang over me, will you be my sun and shine?
Mother Nature has never let me down.
Listen to the sounds around you as the gentle drops of rain steal into the day. The mingling of people and the elements can be interesting. The appeal is clearly in the way you look at things, also in the way these things impact your day. I don't mind the rain, and let the soft pitter-patter of it caress my face, refreshing and making me feel ten again. Why do we ever lose that? The rush of excitement or joy, walking in the rain?
Le sigh.
I would love to be up in one of those balconies, sitting at my table for two, the one with the mosaic in the very Spanish colors to compliment the surroundings, tropical greenery with pink and yellow flowers, the beginnings of a jasmine intertwined with a trellis, to enable the upward growth. I had hoped to look down at the world living life as I watch over them. Tipping my face up to the sun, enjoy being sunkissed. The warmth is welcome, just like an old friend. When I tire of that, people watching from a vantage point is interesting, Little things that go unnoticed when I am walking through the streets of life. A mother holding on to her child a little bit tighter or the knowing look that passes between a husband and wife. The music from the shop downstairs wafts up in a breezy, relaxing kind of sound, not having to fight for air time.
A perfect balcony plant, yes? It can take advantage of the free water, courtesy of Mother Nature, It is that time of year when we feel the most, especially, as the almost emerging beauty is here, the caressing touch upon our heart, as I weave whispered words between the spaces. Don't look now, but, my season of joy is almost here, (again) I look forward to the emerging loveliness as it truly takes my breath away.
All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.
And just like that, this show is over, come back tomorrow and we'll do it again! Remember, kindness counts, wherever you are, whatever you do.

The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
