This was fun!! I am always aghast at the prices they post for their purses and leather goods. Over the years, they have even gone up on their prices and cheapened their products!
The fact that these little fun purses are bought for 10-year-olds just makes my head spin. Granted, if you have the money and have earned it, it is your business. But, I have watched people that can't afford them go into hock to make their child feel loved or part of a bigger crowd. Now, that is wrong. It isn't going to make her more popular (and if it does, what more do you have to have to satisfy that monster?) It won't make her smarter, or anything else. The only thing you are teaching her is that she needs to have one of these, even if it is ridiculously priced out of her range, instead of helping her live within her means. OMG! Stop, Denise! :)
This was a hilarious look at the upscale purse and leather goods industry. I took it as it was meant, fun. But, what you say is so true, I need to add that part, it is funny, but, so true!! I won't lie to you, I have Dooney and Bourke and Coach bags. A tote for work and two generic purses for work. One black and one ivory. They were gifts that were not returnable. (I think that is a lie, but hurting feelings is just not worth it)
I could put a down payment on a car for the price of all of them. No lie.
Do you own a money pit too? I should introduce you to my Shore House! She is an 1869 Victorian that has ignored every budget I put up. I know she will break me someday. :) Not really, but, it is never-ending.
This was such a fun post! Thank you for posting into the challenge! Thank you for participating in #MarketFriday! I appreciate the time and effort that goes into putting a post together for the challenge. It is with great pleasure that I read through and realize how much we have all tried to include things in our world that may be unique to the area. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for them. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.
