Good for you!! I applaud you and I must say that I made sure that learning how to run a house is part of life training for my kids. I think that your colleague's mother did her a huge disservice. It would be a huge wakeup call if her life were to change overnight.

I actually enjoy the markets, but, not so much the supermarkets in town. They are predictable and boring, but, shopping through the farmer's markets in the small towns around here, well, it is always an adventure and you never know what will be available. I love going with you because even the face of the market is fun. Local people making a living, and you, helping them get there. A win-win situation. I am so happy that you have stepped forward and support the people around you. Bravo.

Thank you so much for taking part in #MarketFriday. I will be taking a small break from running the challenge and will be back in November. In the meantime, feel free to collect some pictures of the markets or other places. I am not going anywhere, posting as usual, and will be back, but, for the challenge to be done right, it takes a fair amount of time.

The entire challenge has migrated from a stroll through a market to a cultural extravaganza. ! It really surprised me, but, also delights me to know how much effort people put into it. It pointed out our differences in the beginning, but, then, it really started showing how many things our cultures share. When the day is done, it shows off how human we all are and how we basically all care about our families and others. I love the experience of it all.
