I can see your point, but, I think eating fish every day is what turns the people away from beef. Your entire system becomes used to processing fish and beef is heavier and different. I know people here that eat beef every day and they are fine with it, I think it is what you are used to.
I grew up on the Atlantic Ocean and my brothers (6 of them) fished every day, so we ate mostly fish, clams, lobster, shrimp - anything that swam for a living. It was awesome and it was free.
I understand with the population that Bangladesh has, they have to farm their fish. It is the most economical way to properly nourish their large population and keep it going. They have taken years to perfect how to raise these fish and have done well. While Fish farming has its problems, the need outweighs the problems right now. I know it is a learning process, but, in the meantime, they are providing a way for people to feed their families without a problem.
Excellent post!
#MarketFriday has evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is normal for where you live? These are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I can only hope this to be true.
