Morocco is pretty arid, which is a surprise to a lot of people. They think of the Sahara Desert and have visions of white sand dunes across the country. In fact, the Sahara is mostly very barren, rocky plateau, and salt flats. There are sand dunes, of course. I think it is an interesting country to have both Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines in such a small space.
