Who has not been moved by the peaceful beauty of a moment?
A baby sleeping in a crib? Unspoken words between a couple? Happening upon a butterfly that was dancing in the wind... which totally interrupts life - adding lightness and spontaneous beauty that seems to stop time for a brief second or three.
Who hasn't been moved?
The heart is such a complex little contrivance. But, today my heart is full of love. There are just so many words that spill over on top of each other, wandering loosely about. People across the globe, coming together to help each other in ways that I have never witnessed before. They weren't even asked to, it weighed on their heart and suddenly, the world is exploding with love
There is peace in my garden, my place of quiet and tranquility. The seeds of gladness are fully rooted. Weed and prune where necessary.... then get ready to let your heart bloom — at the house of Wigle
On this day, not even this weather can take away the perfection of an orchid in bloom.
Run away, rain! Run away, rain! Come back, come back, another day! — at sunshining on this rainy day.
This post is dedicated to #WednesdayWalk by @Tattoodjay and even though I did get out this morning, it was for a run and no pictures were taken, but, I did get rained on. I am sure that has to count for something.
Inner peace, world peace, prayers for peace, and the sometimes elusive- finding peace of mind... Peace be with you. Every. Single. Day.
Let the sun shine in on your life
So the joy may touch your soul
Thank you for visiting my post 💖 Because of you, I come back to post, again and again, Some days, it is not easy to see, how wonderful it really is. Kindness counts. Wherever you go, whatever you do.
they set my aunts house on fire
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?
i’ve been praying,
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.
later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,
"everywhere"
"everywhere"
"everywhere"
