Here in the glow of those last lingering moments before Christmas, I take pleasure in its warmth.
It has been a real treat to receive cards this year with so many beautiful messages they contain. In the past couple of years, I had fallen down and not gotten many out. I find it heartwarming to get cards and letters from my cousins and aunts, reliving the Christmas past and the adventures growing with them.
I love when I host events, knowing they will become a memory for someone. Time waits for no one and, we find our lives immersed in the everyday part of life, forming our children's futures, or rearranging an elderly member to accommodate their needs.
It's always about the people, isn't it? This year will be different, but, I will just look to my tree as every ornament placed reminds me of a time in my life or the person that gave it to me. What a great way to go back in time year after year.
I can only hope that this year will be a happy, healthy one! Love to all of you!
Thank you for visiting my post 馃挅 Don't ever forget what a wonderful world we live in, people. Some days, it is not as easy to see, just how wonderful it really is. For me, I try to do my part. Kindness counts. Wherever you go, whatever you do.
Shall I compare thee to a summer鈥檚 day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer鈥檚 lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed,
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature鈥檚 changing course untrimmed:
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow鈥檚t,
Nor shall death brag thou wander鈥檚t in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow鈥檚t,
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
