Last night we had a little brainstorming session and I'm proud to say we are making head way!!!
So basically the point of us having this fundraiser is to help De Wallen be able to continue their international tours. They paid their first tour all by themselves and just to give you an idea it was over $12 000. Put that into rand and it's more than the average person makes in South Africa in a YEARRRRR!!!!
What we have come up with is the Nirvana unplugged in New York theme as mentioned previously. Now to get to the money side of things. We would love to raise enough money to cover the costs of the flights for the guys and we have broken it up like this.
We aim to get at least 100 people to attend the concert and charge R100 per ticket (About $8) So as you can see it's not much.
Then we will be buying unlabelled wine that we will have our own signature labels printed on that will also be on a pre sale with the the tickets to the show, ranging between R100-R200 rand depending on the quality of wine we order.
Lastly we will be blocking some of the previous photo's like this one below on canvas that will be on sale on the night.
We don't want to seem to cash thirsty but it is for all intensive purposes a fundraiser, so we are also thinking of auctioning of 5 big blocked photos, running a raffle and having a donation box. If it all goes well we will be able to get the money together to buy tickets for the guys so that they can use some of the tour money to pay off their debts.
