I definitely envision the comic in my head in motion and in cinematic terms, and I often think of making changes as directing the characters - some things are really different though! In film making I often really like long contemplative moments where you read a character's inner thought process based on watching their face react or emote, but in comics you can't really control how much time someone devotes to looking at a panel you created, so sometimes I make bad panel layout decisions based on what i would want a scene to be if it were a movie. There's a lot of that in the first 3 issues

Like in panel 3 here where I imagine Hazel's hand tightening around the flashlight ominously, maybe her hand trembles with realization, but as you can see, in comic form it's just a useless insert of her holding a flashlight, haha.
