Definitely. They are already at work, I'm almost sure of it. You can't get powerful movements like this going without some sort of pushback, even if all we're doing is being free, helping each other out, and standing our ground against tyranny.

Controlled opposition would look like...

• was not part of the grassroots group over the past year, only arrives now that things get interesting
• charismatic and outspoken, attempts to become a leader quickly
• threatening tone toward anyone who does not tow the party/group line
• heavily into politics and division
• lip service to freedom and peace
• tells people what they want to hear (most of the time)
• limited past history (hard to vet), usually with an excuse/reason for such
• steers group decisions, policy, tactics
• becomes very involved in all aspects of the community

Many of us talked about this over the past year or so, and we're watching for such a person/people. They are tough to defend against, and will have tactics ready to try to alienate anyone who speaks against them. Grassroots movements certainly have pros and cons. I've been doing this a long time but there are always surprises.
