Interesting question, but hard to answer.
Maybe I'll take an easy route here, and say it depends on the child. Some will instinctively understand certain basic concepts, and not need to be taught them, while another child excels in other areas, and would need a little help with those basic concepts. My little guy is a natural at a lot of things, but I'm definitely going to have to teach him certain social lessons.
Also, right now we're raising our babies and children in a very unhealthy and unsustainable "pandemic" situation. They don't get to see human faces very often, for one thing. This is traumatizing and is going to have lasting effects on society. So this conversation wouldn't be complete without mentioning that, although my hope is that we can figure things out very soon, and get back to living freely again, and get to work reducing the scars this will leave on our kids. They're resilient, but then again, they are made up of their experiences. If we traumatize them, not all of them will come through it 100% unscathed. The lessons they need to be taught may depend on how well they survive this current crisis.
