Compost tea is great.
I used to love earthworms but this year they've been eating my garden! I never saw that before and didn't even know it was possible. They come out at night, chop up young tender plants, and pull them back down their holes. In the morning, parts of my plants are sticking out of worm holes in the soil. If left there, by the next day they're completely gone. These things are vicious! Lost a bunch of beans, squash, cucumbers, shallots.
