Kelp is good for rooting, I just can't afford any lately. But remember, it's like 1-0-0 as far as nutrients go. The nutes a lot of people use are 40-30-40 etc.
I need a brighter light, but can't afford that either. Using a couple old tubes and ballast, I think they're 30 years old. There's also no grow shop within walking distance, and I can't buy online. Arg.
