I'm amazed that people in the world's poorest countries, even places undergoing societal upheaval, famine, and war, spend their resources on animal flesh. It is one of the least efficient ways to get nutrients. If the world's meat-eaters switched to plants, the hunger and poverty problems could be eliminated immediately. Those sentient mammals you killed for a fun staff get-together didn't need to live a life of suffering and then meet a cruel end, and you could be healthier and happier and less likely to continue suffering from the economic collapse in Venezuela if you could only end your addiction to eating dead animals.
I was vegan when I was made homeless a few years ago. Even though I was starving, I didn't eat any meat or other animal products. I won a free cheeseburger from a restaurant, so I gave it to a stranger, and stayed hungry. I say this to point out that even poor people can (and should) avoid meat. Meat is expensive, cruel, and unsustainable. The more meat we eat, the more people on this planet have to starve.
Your internet connection only works a few days of the week, but you're still eating steaks. Priorities?
