Good point on the garlic, it's a plant I've always made sure to have around. During my illness and homeless period a few years ago, I lost some of my seeds and bulbs I'd saved from my grandparents' gardens. Garlic is one I lost, unfortunately! (I do have a few bulbils only, but they're old and probably too dry to come back to life.) Grampa had been growing the same heirloom garlic patch for decades.
I hear there's a "garlic fest" around here someplace, coming up. Maybe I'll go and pick up some nice bulbs to start a new patch here.
