Topping cannabis plants can seem controversial to beginner gardeners, but it has been shown time and again (including with other crops like tomatoes) that removing certain parts of the plant to benefit other parts can be a huge boost.
Yes, I ate the tops! No, I won't get high eating this raw cannabis, but yes, it's medically active, and with enough I would notice some effects. Raw cannabis is also extremely nutritious, especially when it's free from any potential contaminants like fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, etc. Free ultraorganic microgreens!
In a couple days, 2 new tops will be growing on each seedling. After just a single leaf node on each, I'll top them again, leading to 4 tops per plant, in a roughly-square shape. I'm looking to refine my Indica topping technique with this crop, and so far, so good!
