Hello friends! I got some new Summoners in the Season Rewards, and I really like the fact that I can now use Gladius Edition cards in ranked battles.

For my time in Guild Brawls, where I play for Team Splinterlands. Ru, I have been able to pick up some effective Gladiator combos, and I must say that they work well against strong opponents. For example, yesterday I was able to defeat my level 1 ETERNAN BRUNE opponent with a level 4 Summoner and level 5 cards!

My Lineup:

GRUM FLAMEBLADE

Damn slow, but maximum destructive melee fighter with huge amount of health and strong shield. Given the Reverse Speed rule and plenty of mana, it's the perfect candidate for the first position.

CHIMNEY WALLSTOP

Since the Melee Mayhem rule was in effect I could use this powerful gladiator in any position, but I chose the usual second position and hoped that paired with Grum they would quickly overpower the enemy tank and pump up parameters with Bloodlust.

TINDERLOCK

It's definitely one of my favorite Fire archers, and I thought it would be a good substitute for the first two cards, in case the opponent uses a few strong mages and takes those mighty fighters out of the game much sooner than necessary.

ARKEMIS THE BEAR

Melee Mayhem's rule favors the use of heavy melee fighters, so I put in this strong card for insurance, which gives extra shield protection.

HALFING ALCHEMIST

I've been using this archer a lot lately, and its ability to reduce its victims' parameters works great. This is especially true for powerful cards that lose attack points and become less dangerous.

SCAVO TECHNOMANCER

I spent the remaining mana points on this new mage. Explosive attacks are never superfluous, and the extra damage on the first two positions is sure to help.

My opponent's lineup was pretty intimidating - Legionnaire Alvar in the first position, a level 5 Disintegrator that lowered my melee attacks, a level 2 Forgotten One Gold hidden in the last position, and a Lava Launcher.... The battle promised to be hot!

Luckily everything went according to plan - my first pair of cards and Halfing Alchemist took out Legionnaire Alvar during the first round. And even though I lost my Grum Flameblade at the end of the second round, I managed to maintain my numerical advantage, and Chimney Wallstop increased his parameters with Bloodlust.

However, my strategy continued to pay off. Gladiator dropped out of the game on the 4th round - Tinderlock was defended, but he lasted two more rounds and gave the necessary head start to my archer and mage. The enemy Tusk The Wide lost attack points and became a real victim for my bear, so the finale was predictable - Forgotten One was losing health from explosive attacks and in the last, 9th round could not resist the onslaught of my seemingly weak mage.

Watch The Battle

Very pleased with this battle, happy to share my experience and, as always, happy to meet you on the battlefield!
