Inappropriate language or behavior
Players of Drugwars come from all around the world and from different cultural and religious backgrounds. Our mission is to create a fun and engaging game for all of our players. Language that is considered offensive, racist, obscene or otherwise inappropriate should not be used in chat or as a username.

We encourage players that experience language they deem to be offensive to use their Ignore List and chat filters to customize their experience.

Why do we have this rule
We have this rule to ensure that any and all players can have the best experience possible and enjoy the game.

Inappropriate language
This includes (but is not limited to): discussion of recreational drugs, sexually explicit language, solicitation, racism or other prejudice, threatening behavior, blackmail, and excessive swearing.

Spam
Spamming/flooding the chat window is to fill the chat window with unnecessary text.

Asking for or providing contact information
For privacy reasons and safety, players must not ask for personal details such as full name, email address, instant messenger handles, telephone number, home/school address or age. Players also must not post anyone's personal contact details (including their own) on our in-game memo fight or forums.

Why do we have this rule
We have this rule in place to protect the privacy of our players and to ensure a safe in-game environment. Giving out personal details may affect the security of a player's account as well as player's own personal safety. When interacting with others online, it is common sense to never divulge personal information, both for players' personal safety and account safety.

Personal details
Personal details are considered to include full name, email addresses, instant messenger screen names/contact details, telephone numbers, a player's home/school address or age.

Your posts should be appropriate content.

1. We do not need your spam on this forum. Spam includes unnecessary duplicate threads and off-topic/hijacking posts.
2. If you post links or images make sure they are safe for your fellow forumers and that you have appropriate permission to use them (copyright). Do not use link shorteners.
3. Keep personal information confidential, to protect you and other players.
4. All content should be safe-for-work.
5. Be respectful of your fellow forumers.
6. Do not flame any players no matter your history.
7. Don't make vulgar, offensive, or profane posts.
8. Don't target specific players with accusations.

Good Forumer Guidance

1. Though swearing is tolerated, it should never be directed at another individual or group and we kindly ask that you keep it moderate and light.
2. There is a difference between flaming another player and sharing your opinion on their argument. Remember to discuss the topic, not the player you're talking to - play the game not the player and remember to resolve your issues in a civilized manner.
3. Begging is considered to be spam and it applies to both real-life funds and in-game items/money.
4. If you spot a thread where you disagree with the poster's opinion, rather than arguing with them across multiple pages of their thread, consider creating a new thread with your own opinion instead.
5. Though politics and religion threads are now permitted, they will be moderated to a greater extent than other content as it is easier to cause offense and upset others with those subjects.

Drugwars staff impersonation
Players must not attempt to impersonate Drugwars staff in any way, for any reason.

Why do we have this rule
This rule is in place to protect our players in identifying the Drugwars staff and ensuring that they can trust members of our staff for help and support with any game related problems they may have.

Identifying Drugwars staff
The Drugwars staff has a clan next to their name "Government". Anyone who does not have a "Government" next to their name is not part of the Drugwars staff. This applies to both private chat and general.

If you ever see anyone attempting to impersonate a Drugwars Staff member or any other player, we suggest that you ignore their request and add them to your Ignore List.

Encouraging others to break the rules

You must not encourage or help others to break any of the Rules of Conduct.

Why do we have this rule
Encouraging or helping others to break the rules is as bad as breaking them yourself and therefore anyone doing so will be treated as if they were the ones breaking the rule.

Examples

1. Attempting to convince other players that the Rules of Conduct are different from what they actually are.
2. Creating, distributing or advertising third-party add-ons that break our third-party software rule.
3. Advertising or linking to real-world trading websites.
   Encouraging others to abuse bugs - any bugs found should be reported to Drugwars immediately.
4. Hosting, facilitating, linking to, or providing software which links to forums/chats where users discuss behavior which breaks rules, helps or encourages to do so (unless a genuine effort is made to moderate such chat and prevent such discussion).
5. Drugwars staff will use their own discretion in ascertaining whether an individual or individuals are encouraging others to violate our rules.
