One thing u should note while I will mention the causitive factors is that all the factors are modifiable , that is, modifying these factors can help remit the symptoms BUT intervention has to be in time.Otherwise one can experiance some of the symptoms even after permanent discontinuation of digital screen use.
Here are the probable causitive factors of cvs
(1)Poor lighting
(2)Glare
(3)improper viewing distances
(4)Inappropriate seating posture
(5) Preexisring uncorrected vision problems
like farsightedness, presbyopia and astigmatism.
Some factora add fuel to the fire viz preexisting visual defects, time spent on computer etc, aging like too old and too young.
PREVENTIVE MEASURES
Avoid continous focuasing on acrwwn for.more than half an hour.General 20:20:20.RULE goes like, After every 20 minutes of computer viewing, look at the distance of 20 feet for 20 seconds to allow your eyes a chance to refocus.
EYE CARE
Glasses prescribed specifically for computer use in normally individuals with no previous visual problems.Additional measures to compensate visual defect need to be taken in people with errors of refractions or organic eye diseases.Sometimes help of VISION THERAPY , also called VISUAL TRAINING, is required to train the eyes and brain to work together more effectively. Visual training is beneficial in EYE MOVEMENT, EYE TEAMING and EYE FOCUSSING and reinforce the eye-brain connection.
APPROPRIATE BODY POSITIONING
Sit comfortably with back vertically straight and touching the back rest of ur seat.Feet should rest plain on the ground.Arm rest of seat should provide support to arma while typing.
#Optimally, the computer screen should be 15 to 20 degrees below eye level (about 4 or 5 inches) as measured from the center of the screen and 20 to 28 inches from the eyes.
