As new player in Splinterlands with not much cards yet it's very difficult to advance your rank. Hence,we opted to rent cards which is practical but, recently even card rental is getting expensive.
Here's some strategy I did to avoid spending to much while Winning. 🤗
Step 1: Choose your Summoner
I prefer Bortus (-1magic) with 3 mana needed only (for bronze player rent lvl 2) - rental fee: 4-6 dec per day
Step 2: Choose your tank
I'm using Sea monster lvl3. This monster has Huge 4melee damage 😲 and self heal. - rental fee: 3-5dec per day
Step 3: Pick a utility monster that can heal
For water user, we have Crustacean King. Personally, I rent lvl 2 only with 3hp + 1 shield. You can also choose lvl3 with 2hp + 1 melee damage + 1 shield.
Step 4: Choose your range damage dealer
I'm using Pirate King with 2 damage (Sniper) with only 3 mana needed. Then, 1 additional range damage like axemaster (delegate d to me by Sir 
Note: bette to choose range damage than magic because most of Earth's tank have magic resist.
Step 5: Ready for battle 🔥

Summary: Choose a Tank with enough damage & can self heal, use a healer (for thorns). Then, pick a sniper to kill Mylor's team healer and sneak atk.
It's only my 3rd season in this challenging and fun game.
