The Leap, Acrylic on Paper, 2015

An image of the childhood joie de vivre. I’m pretty happy with this one honestly. For my skill level at the time I think it turned out well.

This has a second painting that goes with it that you will see next week. Both are based on photos I found on Flickr back in the day. I honestly don't remember the account. But I loved the innocence of the photos, and the joy which they displayed.

If only the adult world felt this comfortable and free about itself. Grown ups are so uptight. Not just about our bodies, but about ourselves in general. They say you're only as old as you feel. I hope I never feel too old to be as free as this kid.

I'm posting every painting I have ever done from 2014 to the present, the good, the bad, and the ugly. With an occasional photograph thrown in just to mix things up. Check back daily to see my progression as an "artist"!
