Hippies at The Outpost, Acrylic on Paper, 2015
There is a small store somewhere along the Salmon River in Northern California which makes the most awful sandwiches but attracts the most interesting crowds.
This is one such grouping. Hippies, or hipsters, I never could decide which. The dude was too clean to be a hippie, the girl too dirty to be a hipster, and the third wheel? Never did get a good look.
At least the dog was friendly.
If that could be called a dog. I’ve always liked this composition, but that dog bugs me to this day…
