Glad you're starting to feel better - and the memory stuff sincerely sucks. But hopefully it will start to come back as soon as the infection fades.
for the beer/coffee - funny, because @l337m45732 just got over covid recently also and he couldnt drink either of those either. he lost his sense of taste and smell - but it has finally come back. We had seen that if you shock your tastebuds with citrus a lot - it will come back. He ate a ton of orange sherbet LOL i'll let him fill in the rest of the details if there are any!
so here is a weird thing.
I'm not vaccinated -but did get covid. The first time was unpleasant. The second time was something altogether unlike anything Ive ever experience and did not fee at all natural. But I will put away my silver foil cap and simply say.. "hey. covid, amirite?" lol Third time was pretty much like a cold.
But with this last version that has gone around, I've heard that it's hitting vaccinated harder than unvaccinated. I have NOTHING to add to that except my own personal experience.
which is:
Everyone at our camp here was exposed recently. My hubby works in the kitchen, and 4 of his staff got sent home because of covid. My daughter's best friend was here - sleeping in my daughter's bed and hugging all of us. She got covid.
Not one of us developed anything.
Hubby came home one day with a sore throat and a mild cough and all our ears perked up thikning - oh no.
The next day I got a sore throat and had that feeling in my glands like "oh great.. here we go. Is this really #4???"
And literally the next day - we woke up both feeling amazing. He was iffy for about 18 hours. and I was iffy for about 12.
Did we have it? and our immune system just recognized this strain and kicked it fast??? i have NO idea.
Like i said - totally just our experience. but it was kinda interesting. cuz I have heard a few people that got it that were vaccinated - and it kinda kicked their ass.
But next time it comes around... maybe the unvaccinated get hit the hardest? Who can even tell with this thing. It's here to stay though. That's 100% sure. No amount of any prevention is going to stop it from continuing to mutate and spread - not in the world we live in.
And it looks like the CDC has stopped asking for tests for people coming into America now. (as of today I think) so to me? that's good news. Cuz if we can't stop it, and the worst seems to be over - we might as well just start transitioning back to "normal" whatever that is!
❤️
