Hello, fellow city owners,

Today I was elected for president once again, I would like to especially thank my voters who made this possible. In this post I will talk about a bit about taxes and the state of dCITY.

1. Current Taxes

For this term I have made a new tax policy that will not be changed and will stay until my term ends.

• Luxury Tax (70%) - HIVE earning penalty to zero-sim income cities.
• War Tax 7days (10%) Collects 10% of income and 80% of that goes to the Military Industrial Complex owners.
• Eco Tax (5%) from 5% of income boosts income from Wind Turbines and Solar Plants

Please note that Income tax, Tax from lobbying and a minimum 1% Basic tax are also in place that the President can not control

2. 3rd Edition

The third edition of cards are around the corner and are waiting until the UI has been reworked. All new combined, loading and default cards have been announced HERE. With the third edition we are seeing a pump in SIM-s price.

The third edition will also come with new crises that will lower the income of your city and you have to fight the crises with a special building or a prevention card.

3. Going for a third term

I am also going for a third term this election, here are my tax policies for the next term.

• Luxury Tax (70%)
• War Tax 9 days (10%)
• Eco Tax (5%)
• Art Tax (5%) - Boosts creativity by 10% but it will cost players 5% of daily income.

In the future I am thinking of lowering the luxury tax to about 50% after the third edition has been realised and SIM-s price is looking healthier.

These taxes are not completely set in stone but are most likely gonna stay in my tax policy, if anything changes I will announce it in the dcity-politics channel in the official dCITY discord server.
