Clark was born but not of this world,
He came from a land just a few stars away from earth.
His home was destroyed, he was saved and was sent
To our world to exist as the last of his sort.
A boy of wonder, but not that of thunder
Has the strength of thousand, and can fly over islands.
His vision you see, isn't like what we see
And he is also as fast as can be!
Sounds great doesn't it, to have these to command?
But stop awhile and wonder, what the young boy ponders.
As a youth he must be confused,
About the things he'd need to do, or refuse.
To be seen as different, unlike anyone else.
To feel different, like watching out for everyone else.
To have one's childhood somehow isolated
While the rest of the world have fun, and not be jaded.
How can a young mind grasp all these intricacies
As he sees for himself his glaring oddity.
Quite young but thinks of his duties
To save the earth, and mankind, from its enemies.
When everything appears to be much of a trouble,
Little Clark would seek solace from his father.
He would close his eyes and feel God on his side
As he prays for safety of everyone in their journey.
He would imagine how it is to play freely
To simply be a child with no worries.
Carefree.
