The beauty of a picture is more often than not about the the artist and how he can make something great out of what he has available to use.

I am still learning to take professional camera shots in photography, but I still explore from time to time what the "camera in my pocket" can do.

I recently travelled to Port Harcourt Nigeria with my friend for an event, but couldn't take so many pictures because we didn't have so much opportunity to go out and around.

My friend omoajok@omoajok has always been an ever present beautiful model for most of my portrait shots and we were here together again.

But then I looked around and looked for ideas to take shots. I saw this pine tree and decided to use it as a perspective for taking a shot...

I also saw this beautifully coloured garden flower plant and took a shot of it too.
The pattern of colours on the leaves looked so well designed... the green edges looked like they were intentionally painted.

Do you like the pictures? What do you think about them? What can I do better?

I hope to find more avenues to explore the creative possiblities of the camera in my pocket.

I shall also talk about the wedding in a later post and share the beautiful smartphone shots from there too!
