Film adaptations of popular video games are notorious for failing to achieve even the minimal levels of quality, so it shouldn’t be surprising that Hitman series had two such attempts. 2015 film directed by Alexander Bach and starring Rupert Friend is second and in many ways better than 2007 version starring Timothy Olyphant. The relatively simple plot has protagonist – genetically modified elite assassin – trying to help Kate van Dies (played by Hanna Ware) find her father, creator of original Hitman program. Hitman: Agent 47 is short film that tries, and for the most part, succeeds in delivering some interesting action scenes that include a lot of graphic violence. Characters are mostly badly written, with exception of van Dies, which allows Hanna Ware to make good impression.
