I started my steemit account exactly 2 weeks ago and I quickly fell in love with this blockchain social media.
I found out about blockchain technology after reading the book Ethereum by Henning Diedrich. Intuitively one knows that this technology is the future of not only trade, but almost any internet interaction.
It is giving the power back to the people. You actually have an incentive to post quality content, unlike all other social media.
Now that I am beginning to generate steem through my post, I will be turning my STEEM into STEEMPOWER
WHY STEEM POWER ?
Steemit is still fairly new. To the general public, steemit is new territory. Every time I try to talk to someone about steemit, they look at me with a confused face. No one in my city knows about steemit. You steemians are a tiny percent of the population, a very very tiny percent. This means that Steemit has a huge potential of growth. The more users there are, Steem will become more scarce and highly in demand.
Even though I feel like I started late on this platform comparatively to all the whales out there, there are still thousands of new minnous to come. Just like I came and fell in love with the platform, I see others getting hooked aswell.I am a long term user and believe that one day steemit will be as popular, but more fun to use, than Facebook. I don't post on Facebook any longer because it has lost it's initial glamour. Facebook will not reward you for making posts, and the content within Facebook is just snip bits of peoples lives with no intent to help the overall community. From what I can see, the steemit community educates its users, and provide quality content.
Converting Steem to Steempower ensures the growth of the platform. Although I am a tiny contributor to this platform at the moment, I believe that my contribution counts. If thousands of users are converting their steem to steempower it will make a grand difference, and it gives the platform strong foundation for the next 2 years.
I want to invest in steem and watch it grow by generating more steempower. The more steempower you have, the more steem it will generate for you in the future.
finally, I want to have power in this community. I see myself using this platform everyday for the next 10 years easily. I want to be an active content provider, as well as a decent curator. Every users actions has an impact upon the steemit community. No matter how small or how big, how minnow or how whale, I believe we are all in this together.
