Good evening hivers! For this week we got a life splinter common monster, the crystal jaguar from the untamed edition. I'm not too fond of using low mana tanks but here we go ^^

Lineup & Strategy

Summoner:

Daria Dragonscale

Since the crystal jaguar only has 1 melee damage, I use daria to empower it a bit.

First Position:

Crystal Jaguar

This monster has decent health and good speed for only 4 mana. I like how it has 1 shield, increasing its survivability.

Second Position:

Manticore

This has become my favorite card to place in the second position, for only 4 mana as well, it has decent speed, flying, reach, good health and 2 damage at level 2.

Third Position:

Pelacor Conjurer

I placed this card at the third position to protect the rest of my team against snipe attacks. For only 2 mana I got a 4 health card with flying and 3 speed.

Fourth Position:

Venari Crystalsmith

Another card in the life splinter that heals the tank. I love it. I see it as an improved version of the Divine Healer card.

Fifth Position:

Feral Spirit

I like the synergy this card has with my summoner. This card helps me do some damage to my opponent's backline.

Sixth Position:

Naga Assassin

At the last position, I placed Naga Assassin. A low health and low mana monster with high speed, hoping to get a few misses on it.

My strategy for this battle was to avoid using magic monsters, since my opponent's last battles used tanks with void armor, so I went for a melee/ranged approach. Besides, the battle condition was weak magic anyway.

Battle Conditions

Mana: 23
The conditions for the battle were Weak Magic (Magic Attacks hit armor before reducing health) and it was a 23 mana battle with any splinter. except the Water Splinter

Round 1

My summoner got neutralized by his summoner. Our monsters interchanged blows but no monster fell this round.

Round 2

At the start of round 2, my tank was almost done for, his Soul Storm card killed my Crystal Jaguar. I got a lucky miss with my Naga Assassin. My Feral Spirit killed his Death Elemental and my Venari Crystalsmith killed his tank.

Round 3

My Manticore killed his Undead Badger this round.

Round 4

His Soulstorm attacked first and killed my Manticore, and my ranged monsters attacked his Dark Ferryman.

Round 5

Naga Assassin attacked the Dark Ferryman and then the Venari Crystalsmith healed my Pelacor Conjurer, and finished the Dark Ferryman.

Round 6

On round 6 the battle was already over, his ranged monster couldn't attack me anymore, and my monsters made short work of it.

Conclusion

I believe the Crystal Jaguar is a good card when there is not enough mana to summon a more powerful tank. It survived the first round on this battle. I'm sure that if I had the armorsmith card on my battlefield he would of lasted more. I was playing on the bronze league though, since the thorns ability gets unlocked at level 4, I could only use it if I was in the silver league. This battle would of been easier if I had the thorns ability on the Crystal Jaguar though, since that is a really powerful ability to have. I'll have to get to silver and check it out ^^,
