If music is a drug to your brain, why not listen to music all the time? Can music change the way you think? Can it change your mood or the way you feel?
Today I wasn't planning on putting any article up until this afternoon/evening. Well life is interesting and full of.... ummmm life! I usually go onto youtube in the mornings and just listen to music while I do work or my studies or even when I game. I am a musicaholic and why am I this?
I love the way music changes me, similar to the way people like to get drunk, only difference is there is no hangover or other issues that drinking too much can cause.
So after listening to a few songs I went to go find out what makes these changes while we listen to music, I read through a few things and found 8 ways music can affect your brain.
1: Happy/sad music affects how we see neutral faces
2: Ambient noise can improve creativity
3: Our music choices can predict our personality
4: Music can significantly distract us while driving (contrary to common belief)
5: Music training can significantly improve our motor and reasoning skills
6: Classical music can improve visual attention
7: One-sided phone calls are more distracting than normal conversations
8: Music helps us exercise
