When I first heard of 3D printing my mine was blown, questions flooded my mind. How do they print 3D? Is it really possible? How complex will the process be of printing a 3D object be?
To answer these questions I watched a short clip (30min) where they used a really funny looking scanner (hand held), took the object and scanned every part of it. This scan then appeared on the computer where they did a few touches to the "blue print".
After a couple of minuets they guy proceeded to take the object our of, what looked like flower, the box dusted it off then explained how the 3D printer injected a substance into this powder to make it hard, this formed the object.
Now today I wanted to have a look at how it has been developed, the new things added to the 3D printer is really amazing. Only time will tell if this will be the printer of the future.
