Wow, this is really hard! What does one say about their self that is of any real value to a whole bunch of total strangers living in more countries than I even knew existed?
My name is Debbie. I'm English, a country girl brought up in a farming community in the days when lambs played in the fields and chicken scratched for corn and worms in the sunshine.
Things I hate: mass production, intensive farming, the chemicals that poison our waterways and polute our land - not to mention our bodies. The appalling waste that is part of our modern world.
Things I love: nature, spring with the new life that it brings, skipping lambs and scratching chicks. Music of every kind. Dance and theatre. Bright full moons and dark, cloudless, starry nights. Pink and gold glorious sunsets and dew laden mornings. Diversity and the differences that set individuals and cultures apart. The technical advances that make our world a smaller place. Poetry and song.
Im not sure yet what I'm looking for here. I haven't blogged before, but I have used a creative writing site, so that will probably be my starting point here, for both reading and writing. Beyond that, it would be nice to make some new friends.
