Here's my PS5 in white. I had to upgrade. The PS5 has 1 TB of console storage. Unfortunately, the software, etc., takes up a lot of space. Therefore, I only have a little over 600 GB free. I decided to buy a 2 TB SSD and install it. The ACER FA200PCI GEN4x4 M.2 SSD arrived today via Amazon.

Then I opened the PS5. You can only pull the lid down because it's wedged in there. And then I was surprised: there was so much dust. I had a suitable tool for that.

In the picture, you can see a silver slot above the fan. You just have to open it and pull it away. Then insert the SSD into the slot. Then put the cover back on. According to the manufacturer, it has a thermal pad on it. But I don't know if it can handle the heat.

Then I put the cover back on, plugged it in, and turned it on. A message appeared saying I needed to format the SSD. I did that. It worked. The SSD is ready for use. I transferred my games over right away 👍 I'm happy 😁

Ich musste ein Upgrade durchführen.
Die PS5 hat einen Konsolenspeicher von 1TB.
Leider braucht die Software usw schon sehr viel. Daher habe ich nur a bisschen über 600 GB frei.
Ich habe mich entschlossen eine 2 TB SSD Festplatte zu kaufen und es einzubauen.

Nun öffnete ich die Ps5.
Man zieht den Deckel nur runter, weil er da eingeklemmt ist.
Da war die Überraschung, so viel Staub.
Da habe ich ein geeignetes Werkzeug dafür gehabt.

Auf dem Bild seht ihr über den Lüfter ein silbernen Schacht.
Den muss man nur öffnen und wegziehen. Dann die SSD in den Slot einstecken.
Nachher die Abdeckung drauf machen.
Laut dem Hersteller ist eine Thermal Pad drauf. Ich weiß aber nicht ob es die Wärme aushält.

Dann kam der Deckel wieder drauf und ich hab Sie angeschlossen und eingeschaltet.
Es kam eine Info, die SSD Formatieren.
Das habe ich gemacht.
Es hat funktioniert.
Die SSD ist einsatzfähig.
Meine Spiele habe ich gleich rüber gezogen 👍
