Hello everyone. Those who read my posts know that my greatest love is escaping into nature, especially into mountainous areas. This weekend I was on Mount Miroc in the Đerdap Gorge. What was my goal? To climb the Ploče viewpoint and Veliki Štrbac, the highest peak of Miroč Mountain. It wasn't difficult after all because the lookout point is about 300m above sea level and the highest peak is at 778m.My team and I, with backpacks on our backs, immediately joined the hiking trail from the main road. First, we got a permit, paid, and set off. There are two trails, and we opted for the longer one to avoid private property and owners with very purebred dogs. The trails are quite wide and flat and we took the one that is 7.50km to the top. We walked without any rush and in about 3 hours we reached the Ploce viewpoint. The view of the Danube is enchanting. I took a few photos there and we headed towards the top. On the way we came across a hunting lodge. We had lunch there, got some water and set off. The journey took us another 3 hours. And believe me, you can take children on these trails too. They are in the shade the whole way and there are very few climbs. And finally we arrived. The most beautiful view of the Danube and its narrowest part called Kazan

We spent the second day of the weekend on the Danube. We had a 2-hour sailing
What I noticed was Trajan's panel dedicated to the Roman emperor Trajan. An interesting stone sculpture, known as the Decebalus Rock Sculpture, depicts the last king of Dacia, Decebalus, and is located on the border of Serbia and Romania. Also on the border is the Mraconia Monastery on the water.

After driving along the Danube, we headed towards the restaurant located on the rock, Restaurant Varnica. And there we were greeted by a pleasant surprise. The food was mostly fish specialties and river fish that is caught every day. I haven't eaten more delicious fish in a long time, and there was also a pot of Fish soup.I spent the weekend in adventure and enjoyment.
